Bright Future Training Center is proud to present the globally-acclaimed SHRM ESSENTIALS OF HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGEMENT® This program provides an introductory overview of key HR topics and the fundamental issues surrounding HR to help you effectively approach the challenging issues and everyday situations that you face on the job. Developed by SHRM, the world’s largest HR association and leading advocate for HR professionals, the SHRM Essentials of Human Resources is the first introductory level HR program to incorporate components of the SHRM BoCK and provide insight into the standards for knowledge, strategies and competencies required of effective HR professionals around the world. While this program doesn’t prepare you for the SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP certification exam, it helps set the stage for those interested in pursuing certification. SHRM Essentials of Human Resources provides foundational HR Knowledge and incorporates components of the SHRM BoCK. It provides insights into the standards for knowledge, strategies and competencies required of effective HR professionals around the world.

Assessment and Certificate

  • Based on the compilation of program learning, participants will create a project that they can use at their own organizations. There will be a level of assessment built into the Capstone Activity and module tests.
  • Participants will present his or her Business Case Executive Summary and timeline for implementation to a Panel of CEOs, CHROs, CFOs from sponsoring organizations

  • Module 3: Total Rewards
  • Explain the basic elements of a total compensation system.
  • Understand the role of base pay, incentives and differentials in employee compensation.
  • Explain the four key steps of the compensation system design process.
  • Provide an overview of benefits commonly offered by employers.

  • Understand the importance of learning styles and adult learning principles in development training.
  • Explain the purposes of orientation, onboarding, training and development.
  • Identify on-the-job and off-the-job training strategies.
  • Identify key professional development tools.
  • Explain the four levels of evaluation.
    Module 5: Performance Management
  • Describe the performance evaluation process and systems.
  • Identify common evaluation errors.
  • Conduct effective disciplinary meetings.
  • Identify legal issues to consider during employee terminations.
